Alief ISD offers two premier choice high schools to put students on the fast track to success. Choose Alief Early College High School to earn a tuition-free associate degree alongside your high school diploma, or choose Kerr High School for a future-focused, nationally recognized learning environment that champions critical thinking and collaboration. Create and explore the unique path that’s right for you!

Alief Early College High School

Are you ready to step up and work hard? For students who want to pursue higher education but may be the first in their family to do so, Alief ISD Early College High School (AECHS) is a way to remove barriers and even fast-track your educational journey.

Prospective first-generation college students and other typically underrepresented populations in higher education have a place at Alief Early College High School. Students will have the opportunity to earn a Distinguished Achievement High School Diploma and college hours toward an associate degree from Houston Community College. By taking Dual Credit classes, students can earn both high school and college credit at the same time with no cost!

Kerr High School

The world needs leaders empowered with curiosity and motivation! Future-focused learning reaches new heights at Kerr High School, where students can take control of their learning and kick their educational journey into high gear. 

Kerr High School gives students the freedom and responsibility to take control of their learning and develop the critical thinking, social, and academic skills necessary for success in their post-secondary education and wherever life takes them. Focused on the future, Kerr students have the opportunity to earn college credit through dual credit and AP programs, and students consistently earn top honors at the local, state and national levels each year.

Kerr’s building is divided into academic centers for each content area and focuses on collaboration. Units of study may include:
